News Rant …
I’m sick and tired of hearing news stories about “pit bulls” attacking people. Why only talk about the attacks that are caused by “pit bulls”? Sometimes I wonder if these dogs are really a different breed but because the nation is so ingrained that pits are dangerous, they just say that it was a pit bull who attacked someone. If you’re going to talk about dog attacks, talk about them all, not just the ones caused by pits.
Just grrr!! I’m so fed up with all the negativity surrounding pits! I live with two and they are two of the sweetest dogs I have EVER met, and I’ve been around lots of different breeds. And while they do have prey instincts, like EVERY dog does, and have killed rabbits and other small animals, they would NEVER intentionally bite or attack a human. I have had bad experiences with Rottwielers (sp) and Akita’s, but never pits.
End rant.
Breakfast …
Little miss Caylee, the 2 year-old I babysit, decided that she would get breakfast on her own today even though her mom was getting oatmeal for her. Cue this scene:
Caylee enters the cupboard, yes enters, where the kids snacks and breakfast is kept. She throws some things around, babbling away at this and that. Rearranges the snacks: fruit snacks go in the muffin box, oreos go I’m-not-even-sure-where, and other various items go other places. A few minutes later she tumbles out of the cupboard with what she really wants for breakfast, two chocolate donuts. One in each hand, which she then proceeds to take a bite out of and then throw them both across the room.
It. Was. Hilarious.
Now she is sitting happily across from me eating her donuts oatmeal.
Don’t mess with Texas
First off I just want to take a moment to say that I’m on a roll on Tumblr and Twitter tonight!
Anywho …
The riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. I’m dyiiinng to go to Texas! San Antonio, El Paso, Houston, Dallas and Corpus Christi. I’ve got family and friends there too so I could totally make a sweet trip out of it. I wonder if my sister Shari would go with me since she used to live there?
Tough Two’s
And now for the two year old. Who you can totally tell will be two in less than 20 days.
She is being quite testy today, for example putting her feet on my computer, I say “No feet, Caylee.” and put it down and then this repeats fifteen times until she does something else she isn’t supposed to and it begins again.
She is currently set beside me, playing with my computer cord, sucking on a mouthful of ham. Why you ask is she sucking on ham? I honestly don’t know but I think she likes the sweet taste of it, so there it sits until someone takes it out of her mouth or she decides she should eat it. Which considering she’s been sucking on it for a good five minutes now, I should probably just take it from her before she chokes.
This stage really is adorable, if not at times annoying, and I love how much she is talking now!
